Pre-incident trauma-awareness, readiness and resilience for crew and shore-side personnel

Prepare

Experts in mental health and psychological trauma, Seaways Psychology can offer you a range of supports to help you prepare your organisation to best manage human responses to critical incidents onboard or ashore:
Consultation - aimed at helping you develop your mental health policy, to include your response to trauma
Training – in trauma awareness, to prepare your crews and shoreside teams with the skills and knowledge needed to understand human reactions to shocking or frightening change, how to look after themselves and crewmates in the immediate aftermath of such incidents and how to get further support if needed.
Mentorship – to support those in roles in the industry which more routinely exposes them to risk of incident or to distressing post-incident scenarios, with the aim of preventing distress, building resilience, promoting good self-care and providing early intervention where needed.
Digital App – Power to Respond® - through KRTS International – an award-winning digital solution which can be put in place in readiness on vessels and shoreside offices, to be deployed immediately following an incident – to provide self-help guidance and support to those affected by an incident and, for those supporting those affected, instructions on what to do and what not to do, to provide the most appropriate immediate response.
